Welcome to Children’s Ministry at Portage Community Chapel!

We love partnering with families to help kids grow in their faith in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. Children’s programming is available during both of our Sunday morning services, so parents can fully participate in worship while their kids learn about Jesus at their own level. From our youngest infants through elementary ages, our team is excited to care for and invest in your children each week.

Before You Arrive

All children participating in PCC’s ministries must be signed in by an adult.

Matching ID Tags

At check-in, you and your child(ren) will receive matching ID tags, unique to you and your visit.

Pick Up Process

You must present your ID tag before we release your child.

Early Childhood - Infant through Pre-K

PCC’s early childhood ministry invites your child to know God better through regularly hearing his Word and by experiencing demonstrations of his love and guidance from our caring volunteers.  By weaving our ministry tenants of Love God. Love others. into every interaction and lesson, your child will grow in wisdom and knowledge of God as he sees these commandments played out each week. We are excited for the opportunity to walk alongside your child on his early faith journey!

Volunteers serving with children at PCC are required to pass regular background checks and receive training on PCC’s children’s ministry policies and expectations. To help keep our church family safe and healthy, please refrain from participating in children’s ministries if your child is sick until they are well and symptom free for 24 hours.

Elementary - Kindergarten through 5th Grade

PCC’s elementary ministry invites your child to know God better through intentionally studying his Word and building relationships with peers and our caring volunteers. Sunday morning ministry includes a kindergarten-5th multigrade worship service at 9:30 and grade-level Bible study classes at 10:45. By weaving our ministry tenants of Love God. Love others. into every interaction and lesson, your child will grow in wisdom and knowledge of God as she sees these commandments played out each week. We foster spiritual growth through group worship, teaching, Bible study, and prayer while also encouraging intentional training and discipleship at home. With this dovetailed approach, children come to recognize God’s goodness and work in their lives beyond the church building on Sundays. We are excited for the opportunity to walk alongside your child on her early faith journey!
